Fryeburg Harbor Harvesting - Pricing and what to expect

What to expect...

As stressful as the days leading up to the slaughter date are on you, it pales in comparison to the stresses on your livestock. With the loading, traveling, unloading, strange smells and surroundings, imagine how it impacts them.

You’ve cared for your animals throughout their lives and I can help you care for them through the very end.  Ending a life is something I take seriously. They deserve respect after all the work you put into raising them.

Farm Requirements

1. If no machinery is present on the farm, the animal will have to be dropped within 30 feet of my trailer so I can grab them with my winch. If there is a tractor or machinery on the farm, be ready to lift and move your livestock to my trailer after it is down.

2. A defrosted, ready to use hose and spigot are essential to insuring a clean carcass

3. A space for me to park my truck/trailer; I will make a bit of a mess as I skin, gut, and quarter or half your livestock.

If you have anymore questions on this process, please give me a call. I am more than happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Truth is, every farm and every slaughter is different in its own way.
